About Whirlwind Action Movement
The Whirlwind Action Movement is a unity‑driven advocacy movement rooted in truth, dignity, sovereignty, and sacred responsibility.
THE WHIRLWIND AWAKENING
The name Whirlwind came from a vision from the origional founder, an advocate and member of the Očhéthi Šakówiŋ (meaning ‘Seven Council Fires’), (later colonized to be referred to as the Great Sioux Nation) — and was later confirmed through spiritual teachings, ancestral wisdom, and the appearance of whirlwinds crossing our path at key moments. Across traditions, the whirlwind is recognized as a sacred force: a sign of truth, cleansing, justice, and divine movement. It represents change rising from a small beginning and gaining strength as more people join.
We also know that every real change requires action. And action requires people who want a better world, people who are ready to stand, people who feel the call to unite. That is why we created the Whirlwind Action Movement: to gather those who want to make things right, to bring together those who believe in truth and justice, and to rise as one great whirlwind — not to destroy, but to reveal, to protect, and to turn the world back toward what is right.
A MOVEMENT THAT BEGINS SMALL
Every whirlwind begins with a small stirring — a shift, a breath, a movement that grows as more currents join together.
WAM is the same.
We are starting small, with humility and honesty, knowing that great movements are born from simple beginnings. We will do our best. We know there will be growing pains. We will learn, adjust, and rise again.
But we also know this truth:
When people unite with shared purpose, truth, and sacred responsibility, the movement grows — just like a whirlwind gaining strength as it gathers more winds around it.
WE CANNOT DO THIS ALONE
To bring this vision to life, we will need help — real help from real people:
Influencers
Spiritual leaders
Community leaders
Knowledge keepers
Legal advocates
Everyday relatives of all diversities
WAM is a gathering place — a platform for unity, community, understanding, and action.
A place where people can:
stand together
learn together
heal together
speak truth together
turn things around together
This is how the Whirlwind grows: one breath, one voice, one act of courage at a time.
OUR FIRST RESPONSIBILITY: PROTECTING WHAT IS INHERENT AND SACRED
Our first responsibility is to protect the rights, lands, and sovereignty of tribal people. These are not privileges granted by any government — they are inherent rights, carried since time immemorial. They come from the Creators, from the ancestors, and from the treaties that were promised and must be honored.
But we also know this truth:
When we stand together — tribal and non‑tribal, all backgrounds, all nations — the world will see our unity and our determination to correct the mistakes of the past. A just and healthy society must take action to honor its promises, restore what was broken, and uphold the dignity of all people.
Until that happens, imbalance and chaos will continue, because injustice always creates disorder.
WHY WE STAND TOGETHER
We can go to hundreds of protests. We can march, shout, and hold signs. But protests alone cannot fix what has been broken.
The real solution is standing together to finance legal assistance that fights injustice for all people.
Legal action is where:
rights are defended
treaties are upheld
corruption is challenged
accountability becomes real
change becomes permanent
This is how we protect our people. This is how we protect all people. This is how we create lasting change.
HONORING THE ANCESTORS BY DOING BETTER
We honor the ancestors not only by remembering their sacrifices, but by learning from the past and choosing a better path forward.
They endured injustice so we could rise. They carried fortitude so we could act. They survived so we could build something stronger, healthier, and more unified. Many lost their lives standing against hateful greedy people.
We carry their strength. We correct their injustices. We rise for their honor.
THE WHIRLWIND IS OUR CALL TO ACTION
The Whirlwind is not just a symbol — it is a movement of truth, cleansing, and renewal. It reminds us that:
- change begins with a single breath
- unity creates momentum
- justice requires action
- and together, we can turn the tide
This is why WAM exists. This is why we stand. This is why we rise.
OUR MISSION
WAM exists to protect the rights, dignity, and sovereignty of tribal people — and to promote unity, understanding, and shared responsibility among all people.

OUR VISION
We envision a future where the United States honors its constitutional and treaty commitments, where sovereignty is respected, where communities thrive, children are happy, elders are honored and respected, and where every person in the world is treated with dignity. As we stand together, we show the world how we unite to affect change.
A future where unity replaces division, truth replaces corruption, and sacred responsibility guides every decision.
OUR FINANCIAL COMMITMENT
Most of our profits are invested directly into legal action — supporting attorneys, legal teams, and treaty‑defense efforts that protect tribal people from violations, corruption, and injustice.
This is our first responsibility: to protect the rights, lands, and sovereignty of tribal people.
Future Vision: Economic Sovereignty
As WAM grows, future funding will support:
tribal entrepreneurs
community owned businesses
economic development projects
financial independence for tribal individuals
long term community empowerment
